if you wanna know, these two attractions are managed by the same company and also at the same place.
Can you see that big ship behind me? The Melaka Alive Show will be performed on a stage above that Bahtera Merdeka, with ample number of benches or they called it as "theater style". Whereas, the Pirate Adventure gallery is actually inside the ship.

For me, i don't fancy the Pirate Adventure at all. kinda boring, and does not worth for RM20. probably if you have small boys, they would enjoy it. there's a short 3D movie, but it was a hanging story with "to be continued" in the end of the show. So, shall we need to go there again?? nahhh. oh ya! the pirate gave salam to us. errrrr a Muslim Pirate, i guess. The Pirate Adventure is open from 10am up to 7pm daily, while the Melaka Alive show only available twice a day at 7:30pm and 9pm.

I strongly recommend you to see the Melaka Alive. It's totally special and worth to watch. You may choose either to sit under the roof or under the dark skies. if you sit in front, close to the stage, please get ready to be soaked! and... during my time, it was raining cats and dogs. my respect & salute to all performers that night. in facts, it was double effects! cause it was the fighting scene between the admiral and pirates. it's good for the tourist, to learn about our history and culture, and not to forget, they do provides Mandarin & English subtitles on screen at the back of the stage too.

Plan for a short or long vacay to Melaka? Dah boring with the Menara Taming Sari, Jonker Street, Mahkota Parade and Pantai Klebang? Ok, let’s have some fun at Melaka Alive, for a new musical theatre show called “Bahtera Merdeka”. Located nearby Dataran Pahlawan / Equatorial Hotel; this on-going show starts their operation from 5^th May 2015, from Tuesday – Sunday including Public Holidays (Monday closed for employee off-day, nak bagi all the dancers rest). This 45-minutes show offers 2 shows per day which are 7:30pm and 9:00pm. I know, Muslim guest would prefer 9pm show… kan? Sempat la nak solat Maghrib dulu. Oh ya, please take note that this Melaka Alive is NOT placed at the big ship of Muzium Samudera, the one at the Melaka River. Please don’t get confuse.

Sounds great, doesn’t it? For me, it is something like Phuket Fantasea Show. But this is 5D show, okeh! In other word, ada seats gerak2, ada water splash (those yang duduk depan2 sila get ready to be soaked huhu but no worries, raincoat is provided) and I just can’t be more excited to see the water stimulation. I love the ship-look-like theatre style too. It is a free seating, so first come first serve basis la. Unless, you are in a big group more than 30 person, the management can help to *reserve seats for you guys in the same area with at least a week in advance. For special case, the management also can arrange for a *day show – also for a big group only, but actually the day show is not as fun as the night show cause you can’t view the magnificent effect of the water stimulation.

After the show, you may take a photo with the performer at the Colours of Melaka. And buy some kuih-muih & air kelapa from the available stalls. Sorry guys, smoking is strictly prohibited in the theatre vicinity.

I just went back from Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) @ Dewan Filharmonik Petronas @ Petronas Twin Towers. The Debussy's La Mer show was awesome! It was conducted by a very handsome young guy named Christoph König.

It was a great and harmonize show, great classical music, great team and great music arrangement.

The show starts at 830pm with the 10mins "Overture to Der Freischütz". Then, continues to "Symphonic Metamorphoses on Themes of Carl Maria von Weber". After 20mins break or interval, the show continues to another 10mins "Les Offrandes oubliées" and as the closing or the highlight of the show - 23mins "La Mer" ~  or "The Sea". 

Of course i only know few instruments only. but i can't differentiate between violin & viola, cello & double bass; clarinet, flute, piccolo, oboe, bassoon & cor anglais; trumpet, tuba, horn & trombone etcetera. but i will always love to see and hear the sound of harp... aaahhhhhh

the show that i bought is RM 74.00 per seat - based on the second lowest category. the lowest is RM 53 while the higher or special class only RM 137. Some other shows' fee are from RM20++. 

See... even K-Pop concert is much much expensive that this tatler show. 

Next time nak duduk kat Suite seats (blue color), insyaAllah~

The MPO website is very user friendly. There's no need to register. I made the payment by using credit card, with additional RM 2 per ticket for admin fees. You also may change your seats (subject on availability) with only RM 5 per seat for the same category. No kids allowed to enter the hall. However, proper jeans is allowed.

selalu layan kat Astro or CD or download or what-so-ever. this time, layan kat Istana Budaya.... dan kali ni dapat seat baiiikkk punye drpd seat PGL aritu. hehe ok actually, last month my colleague has bought 3 tickets of this Lawak Ke Der for the 3pm show on Sunday, 19th April. suddenly, last Thursday time tengah makan2 kat pantry dia cakap dia nk jual ticket tu. pulokkk! sebab... both shows on Sunday has been cancelled! o-em-jiii. wonder what's going on. so, her friends can't make it. at first, aku cakap aku tak nak sebab my family is coming all the way from Johor and staying here till Sunday. tapi... macam kesian plak kat member tu. oklah oklah... so, ktrg re-confirmkan ticket hari Sabtu, 18th April 2015, 3pm show.

pergi show petang ok jugak ye. jalan tak jem sangat, parking pon ample. tapi queue giler panjang kat ticketing counter tu. hampesss! nasebaek tepat-tepat kul3 ktrg managed masuk hall. oh ya, sempat la tanya kat kakak kaunter tu, apsal cancel show on Sunday... dia cakap sebab Bocey takde hari ahad tu... hmmmm ntahpapentah! (tapi nasebbaek la cancel, kalau tak... tak dapek la aku tengok show ni live... betui tak? betui tak??) rasanya pasai depa join Bintang Bersama Bintang Qu Puteh Qu Puteh barulah puteh tuh

kali ni duduk kat STALL (same level with the stage). boleh nampak those comedian clearly. Alhamdulillah~~~ Overall, memang lawak giler la. aku gelak kaw2 sampai saket2 rahang even baru half-way show. Rayza Mukmin (katanya Hans 'jumpa' dia kat Youtube) pon boleh tahan sengal. Bocey, hmmm aku expect tinggi lagi kot drpd dorg. pelawak cina terbaik, Douglas Lim - memang admire dia since Kopitiam. dia kelakar la weiii.. tp aku macam x suke lawak pasal kebab tu -.-" . Afdlin Shauki and Harith Iskander - both stand-up comedian ni memang ada jek idea lawak mantap nan jitu dorg. 

tak banyak snap photo, sebab TAK dibenarkan ye... so, layan kan aje la gambar-gambar mengarot kat bawah ni. by the way uolllzzzz, ai tak minat nak bergambar dengan retisss nih. ade jek nampak Lisa Surihani, Vanida Imran, Hans Isaac etc; but no thanks. *berlagak*

depressed depressed jugak, doesn't mean kite just duduk melepek kat rumah crying 24/7 kan? i should go out and have some fun! hence last March 24th, i bought a ticket of Puteri Gunung Ledang in concert - last day, okehhh. memang patot grab pon. for RM 129 ticket, seat memang tak berapa nak best. tp Alhamdulillah, berjaya jugak la beli ticket that morning. and Alhamdulillah, 1st time dapat tgok theater kat Istana Budaya.

Movie List

Semalam 1st Jan 2015 aku baru pergi layan cerita Big Hero 6. Sangat best cerita dia. Ada part yang kelakar, ada scene lawan2 (cartoon version - bukan lah fighting yang ganas2), dan ada part yang sedih giler touching sampai 3x aku menanges. Overall; aku bagi 4.5 bintang. Last November da ada plan nak tengok movie ni masa kat JB, tapi sebab timing tak kena so kitorang tengok Mockingjay Part 1 *frust tengok cite tu*

Ok, aku admit aku memang seorang Movie Mania. Kadang-kadang sanggop Movie Marathon sorang2. Aku seorang pengumpol CD/DVD/BluRay; ada berkotak-kotak CD. CPU & external hard disk pon penuh dengan movie jek, bile rosak memang sampai tahap menanges terkenangkan cerita-cerita dalam tu. Tu belum kira CD dalam kereta sebab kereta aku ada install screen and DVD player; slalu nya adik aku la yang layan movie dalam kereta while i'm driving.

And today, aku nak share (a.k.a simpan) movie list untuk tahun ni dan tahun-tahun yang seterusnya... Oh, banyak betul sequel yek. Can't Wait! Can't Wait!! Can't Wait!!!
