Encore Melaka - behind the scenes

What is the greatest show you ever watched in your life?

Well, all my life I've been to few concerts, theater, musical show, orchestra, acrobatic.. hmmm *still thinking for the best answer*
By scrolling down my older post, I just realize that I actually love it all. As I found more than 10 entries about live performances I ever attended. And early of this year, I went to watch some Jazz & Piano Festival at KLpac. Looking forward for Ballet.. previously I have to sell off the ticket of Ballet when I mistakenly booked the show on the same day of my brother in law's wedding day.

To refresh those memories, click the title name as below:-

So, what so special about this Encore Melaka?
Got my ticket!
How 'bout ya?

I'm not going to emphasize about the storyline. Because different show has their different perspective and creativity. And it can be very subjective, depending on people's preferences. But, their selling point here is quite interesting for me. With the 360˚ degree rotating audience platform, multi-stage 240-meter wide stage, and huge auditorium with seating capacity of 2007 audiences at one time.

Apart from that, there's free shuttle services from 3 routes/pick-up points with 3 times daily, custom-made LED at the top of the building, handicapped friendly and wheelchair seats, and we can view the beautiful sunset after the show. If you are asking me about the rate.. as you know that now they are still closed due to Covid-19. But Encore Melaka do have various of promotion all year long. Sometimes, they are offering buy 2 free 1, sometimes RM60 per ticket on weekdays, and sometimes they are giving free/discounted tickets for those who are staying at their properties i.e The Pines Hotel Melaka and Pirate Island Resort & Theme Park Melaka. But the normal price for the standard seat is at RM148.

And now we are entering the best part ever --> Behind the scenes! You can't find this anywhere else... I'm so blessed to be one of the audiences to see, to experience and to learn on how they made it.

~just enjoy the show~

The Pirate Adventure

Melaka Alive
get a chance to take a photo with the STARS

if you wanna know, these two attractions are managed by the same company and also at the same place.
Can you see that big ship behind me? The Melaka Alive Show will be performed on a stage above that Bahtera Merdeka, with ample number of benches or they called it as "theater style". Whereas, the Pirate Adventure gallery is actually inside the ship.

For me, i don't fancy the Pirate Adventure at all. kinda boring, and does not worth for RM20. probably if you have small boys, they would enjoy it. there's a short 3D movie, but it was a hanging story with "to be continued" in the end of the show. So, shall we need to go there again?? nahhh. oh ya! the pirate gave salam to us. errrrr a Muslim Pirate, i guess. The Pirate Adventure is open from 10am up to 7pm daily, while the Melaka Alive show only available twice a day at 7:30pm and 9pm.

I strongly recommend you to see the Melaka Alive. It's totally special and worth to watch. You may choose either to sit under the roof or under the dark skies. if you sit in front, close to the stage, please get ready to be soaked! and... during my time, it was raining cats and dogs. my respect & salute to all performers that night. in facts, it was double effects! cause it was the fighting scene between the admiral and pirates. it's good for the tourist, to learn about our history and culture, and not to forget, they do provides Mandarin & English subtitles on screen at the back of the stage too.

wonder why I was wearing Kebaya Dress to Melaka? So modest hahaha this is why...
It was Ibtisam's Big Day! Congratz my dear. and we, the single bridesmaid in brown are happy for you

Honeymoon 2016 #melaka je

camera Sony Xperia dah macam camera cap ayam
3 months after marriage, we went to Melaka for our weekend getaway. Thanks to my colleague, Mdm Donna for this lovely wedding gift.
one night stay

Swiss Garden Hotel & Residences, Melaka

Lemme starts with the accommodation first. The hotel is located nearby Ramada (formerly Renaissance). Don’t worry about the parking spaces ‘cause the hotel & residence are sharing the same building with The Shore shopping gallery. For me, one thing for sure, the hotel need to improve the signage, ‘cause it was totally stressful and hassle to find a way to the hotel’s lobby from the car park. There are few elevators available, but without a good signage, we were confused and lost! we were also not allowed to enter via shopping mall after midnight. Finally before check-out, we found out that there’s a shortcut from the hotel’s restaurant to the car park without entering the shopping mall. wtf!
Upon check-in, the receptionist gave us two options whether we are prefer to stay at the hotel’ or residences’ room. As explained by the staff, the different is the flooring concept; carpeted floor at the hotel’s room while tiles in the residence. Although residence is bigger than hotel’s room, there is no light at the residence’s living hall (?). That makes the hotel’s room sounds better, right?
twin bedded?? squeeze squeezing night
Outdoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi as well as mini water theme park for kids. And, there are also two Olympic-sized indoor swimming pools available. In love with the view from the balcony. Our room also is facing the residence building. Can you view the Melaka Strait between the two towers? And can you spot the river cruise over there?

I was studied in Melaka (2003-2006) and I’ve been to Melaka so many times. Including our day trip to Melaka on last November 2015. I've experience many things including the Taming Sari Tower, Melaka Alive, Mini Malaysia, Zoo Melaka, Beaches, Coconut Shake, Cucur Udang etc.... except for the Melaka River Cruise. There’s a jetty right in front of the hotel/The Shore. Let's go!
That day, we just missed the 8pm ride and the next one is coming one hour later. My husband suggested that we shall have our dinner in the mall first since we still have about 40mins to buy the 9°clock cruise ticket (seriously, we only can buy the ticket 20mins before departure). But then, I think it’s better if we drive straight to the city and take the cruise from the main terminal, nearby the famous Samudera Museum. Indeed, it was a brilliant idea ‘cause there are a lot of cruise available at the main jetty which departs every minute, and they are giving us free mineral water and cookies too; with the same price @RM15.90 per adult
(update : i went there last January 2017; but they didn't gave us any water nor cookies... hmmm)
a magnificent night view of Melaka River from Jonker Street
the terminal is in front of the Casa de Rio

One boat can accommodate 40-50 pax in one time. The 30-mins ride took us up to Morten Village and back to the main terminal. Malay & English voice-commentator available.

Last but not least.... It’s shopping time at the Jonker Street

And also… the new Freeport A’Famosa Outlet at Simpang Ampat, Melaka. Yeayyy
gile kuat angin!!
honestly, cuaca panas giler kat sini

we are planning to have our lunch here, somewhere at Bukit Katil for the best Asam Pedas and Ikan Bakar. unfortunately, the restaurant was closed during our visit. my husband was there a few days before with his bosses and colleague. and the owner did guarantee him that the shop will be open that Sunday... think positive. maybe he was not feeling well...

Musical show in Melaka

New stuff in Melaka!!   UPDATE :: This attraction is NO longer available!

Plan for a short or long vacay to Melaka? Dah boring with the Menara Taming Sari, Jonker Street, Mahkota Parade and Pantai Klebang? Ok, let’s have some fun at Melaka Alive, for a new musical theatre show called “Bahtera Merdeka”. Located nearby Dataran Pahlawan / Equatorial Hotel; this on-going show starts their operation from 5th May 2015, from Tuesday – Sunday including Public Holidays (Monday closed for employee off-day, nak bagi all the dancers rest). This 45-minutes show offers 2 shows per day which are 7:30pm and 9:00pm. I know, Muslim guest would prefer 9pm show… kan? Sempat la nak solat Maghrib dulu. Oh ya, please take note that this Melaka Alive is NOT placed at the big ship of Muzium Samudera, the one at the Melaka River. Please don’t get confuse.

Managed by Nuevo Attraction & Destination Sdn Bhd (a member of LBS Bina Group Berhad), here’s some of their message:
Our Theme Attraction portrays a Musical Theatre Performance. The First 5D Stimulation Show in Malaysia. World latest show technology and experience. The show is set on board a ship inspired stage, presenting Malaysia Historical tales brought to life in a play which combines spectacular visual projections, water stimulation and fire effects, music and live acting to tell the history of the rich and diverse Malaysia's Golden Age, from the establishment of the city to renowned developed a successful country today. Located in the heart of Unesco World Heritage site. A Malaysia’s Premier Tourism & Cultural Destination…”

Sounds great, doesn’t it? For me, it is something like Phuket Fantasea Show. But this is 5D show, okeh! In other word, ada seats gerak2, ada water splash (those yang duduk depan2 sila get ready to be soaked huhu but no worries, raincoat is provided) and I just can’t be more excited to see the water stimulation. I love the ship-look-like theatre style too. It is a free seating, so first come first serve basis la. Unless, you are in a big group more than 30 person, the management can help to *reserve seats for you guys in the same area with at least a week in advance. For special case, the management also can arrange for a *day show – also for a big group only, but actually the day show is not as fun as the night show cause you can’t view the magnificent effect of the water stimulation.
*subject on availability, management’s approval, weather and technical condition

After the show, you may take a photo with the performer at the Colours of Melaka. And buy some kuih-muih & air kelapa from the available stalls. Sorry guys, smoking is strictly prohibited in the theatre vicinity.

Last but not least, we can offer you the best price for Malaysian @ RM 35 RM 28 per adult, RM 20 RM 18 per child (4-12 yrs old) and FOC for kids below 4. Special offer valid till end of year and price already inclusive with GST. hmmm tak sabar nye nak pergi bulan November ni J For booking, you may e-mail me at azfaezah@enesty.com.my or azfaezah@gmail.com (1st time jual ticket kat personal blog nih – sebab over excited). I still have 500 tickets to let go. Please log-on to their official website here for more information and photos. Kat youtube pon ada few videos available.

UiTM Lendu dihati kami

sape pernah study atau masih study kat UiTM Lendu, sila angkat tangan!!! saya! saya! weeee

tempat jatuh lagi kan dikenang, kan. ini kan pulak tempat mengejar impian dan harapan, menangis, ketawa, berseronok, bercinta, putus cinta, met new friends, berlakon jadik kepoh-ci atas stage, join the Dikir Barat, kawad kaki, induction, those proud moment masa dapat Dean List (DL), being the candidate for the MPP (oh i still can remember the day of the election -phew!-), tidur sorang2 kat blok D masa PLKN, being the PM for those naughty PLKN kids, jadik Ad-Hoc Sukan utk Kolej Balqis, kacau2 budak laki kolej Ehsan, birthday surprises with those naughty and terrible ideas, those Grand Dinners, doing those super-fun and stress-free assignments (the best part of being a Tourism student), prep at the library (most of the time - chatting!), staying at the DL college for one semester (Blok F, Firdaus kot) - memang diskriminasi okeh, kejadian 'ngeri' di tasik opps! exaggerate je tu, semua-semua lah... hmmm those were the days.............. rindu nyer! what do i miss the most - those cheering song from each college especially during inter-college sport tournament...

i was @ UiTM Lendu a.k.a UiTM Alor Gajah a.k.a UiTM Melaka from the middle of 2003 till the middle of 2006. Part 1 sampai Part 6 for Diploma in Tourism Management. masa tu, blok akademi yang baru still under construction, masa tu, UiTM Melaka kampus Bandar tak bukak lagi. masa tu, semua student duduk dalam kampus (resident). masa tu, study fee murah je around RM350++ per semester but inclusive with accommodation and fullboard lousy meals. masa tu, tak banyak lagi Diploma courses kat UiTM Lendu ni, cuma ada DTM (Tourism Management), DPA (Pentadbiran Awam), DAD (Art & Design), DBS (Business Study), and DB (Banking). masa tu, aku muda lagi....

apparently, moment kat UiTM Shah Alam tak sebest moment kat UiTM Lendu. lepas habis diploma, aku ada masuk UiTM Lendu for couple times. masa MUET test, masa buat clearance (kena make sure takde 'hutang' kat UiTM Lendu); dan masa visiting my ex-boyfriend (Hafiz dapat further his degree in Business Study kat UiTM Kampus Bandar) for his volleyball training kat UiTM Lendu dan masa tu aku FREE sgt sebab extend study after broke my ankle "auch!" ;(

last year, once again aku masuk UiTM Lendu buat lawatan hu hu hu                                           dated 14-Dec-2014

proud to be Tourism Student
Blok Dang Merdu Wati??? for us, it's Blok A, A for Atiqah. also known as Berek Polis. Feeza & Fatiha duduk sini
aku & Yda dulu duduk kat Blok B ni. Aku duduk Brainy while Yda duduk Bionic Floor.  B is for Balqis. la ni, Dang Wangi pulop.
aku duduk Brainy floor part 1 - 3, and Bravo (kot) Floor masa part 6.
Aini wakil blok C - Camelia. skrg Dang Anum.
dulu, Dang Anum tu blok D - blok sblh dining hall. sblom jdk D'Ehsan
Aku pnah duduk blok C ni kejap masa induction weeks.

"Down to memory lane" la sangat!

So, what's new?

i saw a new building located far behind of "Nadim" college. tak tau la kolej ke ape tu

below is the mentioned new academic building. tak sempat merasa..... blok yang ni la under construction masa zaman ktrg =( bising!

aik, apakah??? kemanakah???? jalan menaiki bukit yang curam nan jauh ni heading to where? seriously???
we have been told that UiTM Melaka has extended its area... dulu, kawasan UiTM ni sampai padang besar kat belakang tu jek. tetibe ada sebijik roundabout yang sangat cantik kat situ. whereas kalau amik jam 12, akan nampak jalan bukit kat gambar atas tu. kalau amik kul3 (selalunya tu gate kluar/masuk alternative ke UiTM ni - aku pnah pakai masa PLKN dlu jek). tapi... sebelum sampai ke gate tu, akan jumpa satu jalan ke kiri utk kenderaan (sebab jalan yang td tu khas utk pejalan kaki) sampai ke Kompleks Pentadbiran dan Pembelajaran. setahu aku UiTM ada provide a free shuttle bus from Ko-Op ke bangunan atas bukit tuh. ye lah kot
on the other side plak, ada Dewan utk Konvensyen. last December, baru aku tau skrg dah tak buat convocation kat UiTM Shah Alam jek. semua kampus dah ada their own huge hall for the convocation event. sorry, aku tak snap gambar....
dah ke-81. my convo was the 70th

oklah, aku tak ada idea sgt nak mengarang. tengah busy arrange Hawaii Trip for VVIP clients. so many things to do. nanti free, aku touch-up entry ni yek. ni pon actually dah berkurun simpan kat draft.

anyhow, tetibe teringat budak2 laki Blok E suka jerit "Blok B babi! Blok B bangang! etc" ironic nya, ktrg yg pompuan2 Blok B ni tak boleh nk balas balik sebab dorg Blok E... E for??? my room is facing their building. selalu kena be extra careful sebab dorg suke skodeng ktrg. i heard dorg siap ada binocular tau. tapi.... dorg igt dorg je ke boleh skodeng2 ni. hahaha jangan igt gurls tak reti skodeng ye

Another Melaka Trip!

tak puas lepak melantak dan bergossip kat Chilli's Mid Valley on last 25th Nov, kitorang awek2 yang comel dan awet muda nih boleh continue sampai ke Melakau plak.
a short trip to Melaka (13 - 14 Dec 2014) was originally planned to attend Ibtisam's e-Day somewhere at Terendak.
Tahniah, Ib!!
oppss! BFF since 2003, uolzzz
but we took this advantage to please our stomach at Medan Ikan Bakar, MUARA Sungai Duyung...
kat mana tu? entahlaaaaa. ktrg 'waze' jek. last time, we went to Ikan Bakar Terapung, UMBAI; that was 2011 punya cerita. tapi kalau nk ikutkan masa zaman blajar kat UiTM Melaka dulu, memang merata gak la makan sedap2 (sebab makan free kat dlm kampus sgt tak sedap!). Kat Muara ni memang seriously ramai orang. nak carik parking je dah half an hour pastu queue sejam untuk pilih2 ikan and other seafood plus cara masakan. but i can tell, murah giler makan kat sini, beb! terlalu murah sampai dah lupa how much we paid for the butter prawn, ikan siakap masak 3rasa + bakar, kepah masak sambal, udang goreng tepung, kangkung goreng, drinks, otak-otak, fruits, plain rice etc. order air tebu sampai la ni tak dapat2 lagi ;(
queue yang tak putus2

that night, we stayed at Yda's 'summer house' at Lendu. Thanks, Yda!
(breakfast Nasi Lemak kat Lendu + lunch kat Kenduri rumah Ib)

sebelum balik KL, stop kejap kat Alor Gajah for the Cucur Udang or Kuih Udang Baha. kena queue panjang lagiiiii...... plus sate! (pelahap masing2). ada gak plan nak pergi Pantai Klebang for the recently-famous Coconut Shake.. tapi masa tu dah almost 5pm, plus esoknya kami kejeeee, dan dah malas nk queue panjang for the food kat Melaka nih; finally we decided grak balik KeyEl troz. Singgah light shopping kejap kat Simpang Ampat for cincalok, sambal belacan, jeruk, telur masin, kuih cakar ayam (aini borong paling banyak! huhu).
P/s : Nasi Ayam Nadia memang dah takde ye kat Alor Gajah ni??
itu kami punyaaaa. amek Set 3 Org Mkn @ RM6
can you spot any UDANG???

tak kenyang lagi tu.... sambung lepak makan donut plak kat R&R Somban. alahai kawan2

whatever FOOD will make us feel GOOD
