Honeymoon 2016 #melaka je

camera Sony Xperia dah macam camera cap ayam
3 months after marriage, we went to Melaka for our weekend getaway. Thanks to my colleague, Mdm Donna for this lovely wedding gift.
one night stay

Swiss Garden Hotel & Residences, Melaka

Lemme starts with the accommodation first. The hotel is located nearby Ramada (formerly Renaissance). Don’t worry about the parking spaces ‘cause the hotel & residence are sharing the same building with The Shore shopping gallery. For me, one thing for sure, the hotel need to improve the signage, ‘cause it was totally stressful and hassle to find a way to the hotel’s lobby from the car park. There are few elevators available, but without a good signage, we were confused and lost! we were also not allowed to enter via shopping mall after midnight. Finally before check-out, we found out that there’s a shortcut from the hotel’s restaurant to the car park without entering the shopping mall. wtf!
Upon check-in, the receptionist gave us two options whether we are prefer to stay at the hotel’ or residences’ room. As explained by the staff, the different is the flooring concept; carpeted floor at the hotel’s room while tiles in the residence. Although residence is bigger than hotel’s room, there is no light at the residence’s living hall (?). That makes the hotel’s room sounds better, right?
twin bedded?? squeeze squeezing night
Outdoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi as well as mini water theme park for kids. And, there are also two Olympic-sized indoor swimming pools available. In love with the view from the balcony. Our room also is facing the residence building. Can you view the Melaka Strait between the two towers? And can you spot the river cruise over there?

I was studied in Melaka (2003-2006) and I’ve been to Melaka so many times. Including our day trip to Melaka on last November 2015. I've experience many things including the Taming Sari Tower, Melaka Alive, Mini Malaysia, Zoo Melaka, Beaches, Coconut Shake, Cucur Udang etc.... except for the Melaka River Cruise. There’s a jetty right in front of the hotel/The Shore. Let's go!
That day, we just missed the 8pm ride and the next one is coming one hour later. My husband suggested that we shall have our dinner in the mall first since we still have about 40mins to buy the 9°clock cruise ticket (seriously, we only can buy the ticket 20mins before departure). But then, I think it’s better if we drive straight to the city and take the cruise from the main terminal, nearby the famous Samudera Museum. Indeed, it was a brilliant idea ‘cause there are a lot of cruise available at the main jetty which departs every minute, and they are giving us free mineral water and cookies too; with the same price @RM15.90 per adult
(update : i went there last January 2017; but they didn't gave us any water nor cookies... hmmm)
a magnificent night view of Melaka River from Jonker Street
the terminal is in front of the Casa de Rio

One boat can accommodate 40-50 pax in one time. The 30-mins ride took us up to Morten Village and back to the main terminal. Malay & English voice-commentator available.

Last but not least.... It’s shopping time at the Jonker Street

And also… the new Freeport A’Famosa Outlet at Simpang Ampat, Melaka. Yeayyy
gile kuat angin!!
honestly, cuaca panas giler kat sini

we are planning to have our lunch here, somewhere at Bukit Katil for the best Asam Pedas and Ikan Bakar. unfortunately, the restaurant was closed during our visit. my husband was there a few days before with his bosses and colleague. and the owner did guarantee him that the shop will be open that Sunday... think positive. maybe he was not feeling well...
