Japanese Language is FUN! - Lesson 7.1.4

There's one catchy word I can't forget when my lecturer told me in 2006...


"Mada dayo" simply means "not yet", originally from "mada desu". 
"Mada dayo" quite common in "hide and seek" game.


Mou = Already
** must past tense
Question : Ayumi-san, mou nimotsu o okurimashita ka.....Ms Ayumi, have you sent the parcel?
Answer : +ve Hai, mou okurimashita.....Already sent.
                -ve Iie, mada desu.....not yet                   

               can also add Iie, mada desu. Korekara okurimasu.....From now on I will send.
                                    Iie, mada desu. Ashita okurimasu......I will send tomorrow.
                                    Iie, mada desuIssyouni okurimasen ka......Let's send together.

Can add place like previous lesson:
Yubinkyoku de nimotsu o okurimashita = Already sent the parcel at post office


Other type of Questions:
Mou kippu o kaimashita ka.....Have you bought the ticket?
Mou shukudai o shimashita ka.....Have you done the homework?
Mou ban gohan o tabemashita ka.....Have you ate dinner?
Mou kaemashita ka.....Have you arrive home?
Mou nemashita ka.....Have you slept?

Mou Tokyo he ikimashita ka.....Have you been to Tokyo?

Mou repoto o okurimashita ka.....Have you sent the report?

Can change to Itsu = When
Itsu ni repoto o okurimasu ka.....When will you send the report?


Bonus :
Mou ichido / Mou ikkai = Please repeat / one more time
