 Similar to Lesson 10.2, we are still learning on the place/location/direction that has/have a person/pet

PLACE/DIRECTION ni PERSON/PET ga imasu

** Other than living creature, must use "arimasu" - see previous lesson

Kyoshitsu ni gakusei ga imasu... In the classroom, there's student 

Syokudou ni Ayumi-san ga imasu... At the canteen, there's Ms Ayumi

Uketsuke ni hansamu na otoko no hito ga imasu... At the reception counter, there's a handsome guy.

Dare mo imasen.. No one / nobody

PLACE no LOCATION ni OBJECT ga imasu

or

OBJECT wa PLACE no LOCATION ni imasu

Ki no ue ni warui otoko no ko ga imasu... On the tree, there's a bad/naughty boy

Otoko no ko wa ki no ue ni imasu... A boy is on the tree 

Isu no shita ni neko ga imasu... Under the chair, there is a cat

Neko wa isu no shita ni imasu... Cat is under the chair

Toire no naka ni otoko no hito ga imasu... Inside the toilet, there's a man

Otoko no hito wa toire no naka ni imasu... A man is inside the toilet

Uchi no soto ni inu ga imasu... Outside the house, there's a dog

Inu wa uchi no soto ni imasu... The dog is outside the house

Ginko no mae ni ginkoin ga imasu...In front of the bank, there's a banker

Ginkoin wa ginko no mae ni imasu... A banker is in front of the bank

Doa no ushiro ni onna no ko ga imasu... Behind the door, there's a girl

Onna no ko wa doa no ushiro ni imasu... A girl is behind the door

A-san to B-san no aida ni C-san ga imasu... In between of Mr A and Mr B, there's Mr C

C-san wa A-san to B-san no aida ni imasu... Mr C is in between of Mr A and Mr B
