Istana Negara

The Royal Museum
to enter this Former National Palace at Jalan Istana is only RM5 for adult. sponsored by my father who is already Senior Citizen "oh abah dah consider Warga Emas ker??" it's only RM3 for him.

here we can enter the official residence of Yang di-Pertuan Agong and his Raja Permaisuri Agong, to see how our Royal Families live in past. from the Palace Gallery (consist of Throne, Ruler's meeting room, Kings' Lounge and for me; a modern style of Raja Permaisuri Agong's apartments) to the Balairung Seri.
oh forgot to mention, no photo allowed inside the main building! im quite interested with the Ruler's Seal or Mohor Besar Raja2. it is 93kg, was made in England in 1949.
and now, the National Palace has been moved to the National Palace Complex at Jalan Duta since November 2011. we've been here on last 12 Jan 2014. i'm not sure when they actually start opens for public, but i saw a lot of people entering when i passing by this Palace on last 13th Dec.

my sister keep asking, why this castle is so simple, not having much motive or symbolic drawing or carving compared with Presidential Palace in Saigon. well, for me because we are Muslim and we cannot put ourselves much in that belief. good enough with yellow as our royal color. at least our Royal's life is not so complicated like Chesky Krumlov Castle in Prague. they are locating a lot of big bear in every corner of the castle and even on the dining table. and as far as i know, for Vietnamese; they belief that the Dragon is representing the King and Moon is for Queen. sorry, there's no dragon here in Malaysia...
