this is an advance-birthday-celebration for myself. thanks Mak & Abah for allowing us to join Felda's trip on 16-17 Nov 2013. it was raining all the way... getting heavier during night, and the 'dark clouds' keeps following us till Sungkai.
long story short, we drove to Cameron by ourselves (we = Along = driver) cause we are unable to join the big bus from Segamat. we hit the road from KL via Simpang Pulai for 3hours journey. we rather to take the longer road but surely it safe compared with Tapah's Road; cause its steep, winding and dangerous for us, the beautiful ladies ^^
KAMI |
the meeting point is at the Strawberry Park, in front of Equatorial Hotel. i stayed at this particular hotel before (it was on Feb 2008 with Yan, Kak Mis and Kak Ida - the Shah Alam's housemate). after that, the next stop before lunch is the Cactus Point. i bought 6 small cactus. cant remember how much. Maybe RM10 for 6; bigger one is RM5 each. they have various size of cactus.
we stayed at Hotel Titiwangsa at Brinchang area. Glad Abah is the trip organizer; our room is 2 double bed + 1 single bed (big one). last 2009, we were staying at Century Pines; a better hotel at Tanah Rata (further down). after check-in, we explore Cameron by ourselves to Bharat Group's Cameron Valley, Tanah Rata. where you can find a very cheap tea here with variety of flavor besides the plain tea such as strawberry tea, lemongrass tea, orange tea etc for RM8.90 per box. sit back, relax and enjoy the strawberry cheese cake with a cup of hot tea in the cold ambiance and viewing the tea plantation. wasn't that nice?!
My mom bought so many strawberries at the Strawberry Farm; there are a lot of Strawberry Farm here in Cameron; self-pluck will cost you a bit but it is exciting!. you can pluck the big, fresh and pink & red strawberries by yourself.
Late evening, we were having a steamboat gala dinner at the hotel. after that, we went to the night market at Brinchang, not too far from hotel. we 'enjoyed' the light shopping under the heavy rain. looking for souvenirs, umbrella, hot & sweet corn, hot keledek, shirts, etc
on the next day, after check-out, we enroute to Kea Farm to shop few fresh flowers, more cactus, sweet corn, more souvenirs and many more. also to the Lavender Garden; a new attraction in Cameron. if im not mistaken the entrance fee is @ RM 10 per adult. with the huge lavender garden, feels like Amsterdam ^^
Sungkai Hotspring
as planned, we went to Sg. Klah afterwards, for the famous Sungkai Hotspring. next to FELDA Residence; they have the Hotspring Pool, Reflexology Walk, Private Jacuzzi, Spa, Egg Boiling, Mountains Spring Pool & Natural Hot Spring, Cascading Hot Water etc. the entrance fee is @ RM 10 per adult if im not mistaken (paid by Felda). i can say i'm not enjoying this place so much. it's smelly especially at the egg boiling place and the Mt. Springs is a manmade pool, similar like Desa Waterpark or Sunway Lagoon or other manmade water park places which i dont prefer. furthermore, the natural hotspring is dirty..
however, the place is providing a free tram which stops at rumbia cafe / tempayan cafe, nearby the Mt. Spring Pool.
