5 things about BANGKOK

enough talking about the traffic jam in Bangkok, cause actually it's very similar to Jakarta & even in Kuala Lumpur. my precious trip to Bangkok recently makes me think that how time is more important than money, as there's nothing to shop while we were wasting our time sit in the bus for hours to go to the distance which is only 5km away.

let's digging out what have i seen in Bangkok:-

1) Temples
if Bangkok is an Island, sure it can be just like Bali - an Island of Temples... here, the temple is everywhere. namely; Erawan Shrine (the 4-face Buddha), Wat Indraviharn (the biggest standing Buddha in Thai) etc. i wish i can remember all temples i've seen. and they said, there's more to see if you can go to Pattaya (2 hrs drive from Bangkok town). As much as i like our local famous temple in Batu Caves, Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai and Uluwatu & Tanah Lot temples in Bali; i do also love to see Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok. it also known as 'a Temple of Dawn'....

2) Cruise
the night spent wisely with the Dinner Cruise along the Chaophraya River. oh ya, forgot to tell. it's the same river we use to go to the Wat Arun. a spectacular night with the night view of Wan Arun, long bridge like Penang one and the luxurious hotels at the river banks. enjoying the night scenery is one thing, but i'm more on enjoying the live performance, self-photo session & the food!! dont worry, be happy... they served Halal cuisine with more than 30 dishes. one thing i want to complaint is the cruise or jetty's management should improve the waiting lines. sooo not impresive for those VIPs.

3) Floating Market
sounds interesting & a lil bit traditional for me. they do have the floating market in town, but the original one is located at Damnoen Saduak, Ratchaburi. only 1 hour journey by bus where you wont get boring cause i'm sure you may enjoy watching the 'massive' jammed of the other lane. back to the market story, just imagine that the local folks selling their stuff on the 'sampan'. all kind of fruits, 'kuih', souvenirs, and the most surprising item is : Gucci Handbags! only the-very-sporting aunties can do that. errr i think it's better for me to let photos explain more bout this market.

4) Shopping Time!
apart from the old style; Bangkok just like any other cities in this world, also come out with modern system. they offers a fastest train, convenience airport & shopping mall. am i just said "shopping mall"??? 0.0 most of Malaysian love shopping - cant denied. regardless nearby the hotel i stayed, we get busy bargaining & buying unnecessary things. my friend bought 10pcs of "i love Bangkok's T-Shirt". but, do you love Bangkok that much? i wonder... same goes when we are stepping to Chatuchak Weekend Market & Suan Lum Market. i prefer the places where i can bargain up tp 70%, but some people still love shopping at mall like MBK (Mah Boon Khrong), Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery etc. doesnt the price is similar like in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur; my dear??? but dont tell my friend that i bought a Hard Rock T-Shirt.. which she said unreasonable to buy. oppsss!

5) Madame Tussauds
just nearby the MBK, the wax gallery really attact our camera's attention. who dont want to see those celebrities? we can take photo with them, touch them, poke them, kiss them, hug them.. as i did to my favourite singer - Justin Bieber. yeah, im loving it! parapampapa! this wax is 100% imitated the real person , such as Lady Diana, Tun Mahathir, Mahatma Gandhi, Suu Kyi, Pablo Picasso, Einstein, Christino Ronaldo, David Beckham, Tiger Woods, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Jim Carrey, Jackie Chan, Nicole Kidman, Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie & Brat Pitt, Spiderman?? Doraemon?? and many more characters.

i just realize that 5 things is not enough for me to tell you bout Bangkok.

Additional 1:
in Bangkok, we can find a plenty of Halal restaurants. and the Tom Yum taste is a little bit different compared with the North's - ChiangMai ChiangRai. try to eat at Sophia Restaurant, Sara Restaurant (at Nouvo City Hotel), Nopparat Restaurant & Culture Show and Samphran Elephant Camp (the zoo where i took photo with the real tigers).

Additional 2:
i stayed at Indra Regent, the local 4-star hotel. location wise since it's in Pratunam area. nearby the Baiyoke Sky (the highest tower in Bangkok) and the Platinum Mall.

Additional 3:
the compulsory shopping outlet like Gems Gallery, Silk & Honey.. we can find these in every state in Thailand. but i do prefer Chiang Mai more

Additional 4:
taking Thai Airways (TG) for the 1st time. such a big aircraft huhu cause i'm comparing with Air Asia of course

p/s : am i sounds sarcastic for this article? u judge me, i'll surely read ur comment (s) later, cause now i'm not in a good mood
