Japanese Language is FUN! - Part 7.1.1

Continued from Lesson 7.. we are still in the chapter of making VERB sentences. When talking about action; there are thousand words need to be learnt. Apart from 10 examples given in the previous entry, here I listed down few more:-

     Tabemasu = Eat           Hiru gohan o tabemasu = Eating lunch
                                         
Sakana o tabemasu = Eating fish
     Nomimasu = Drink          
Mizu o nomimasu = Drinking water
                                              
Sake o nomimasen = Not drinking sake
     Mimasu = Watch / see          
Eiga o mimasu = Watching movie
     Yomimasu = Read          
Zasshi o yomimasu = Reading magazine
     Kikimasu = Listen / hear           Ongaku o kikimasu = Listen to the music
     Kakimasu = Write / draw / paint E o kakimasu = Drawing / painting
     Kaimasu = Buy           Bagu o kaimasu = Buying a handbag
     Torimasu = Take           Okane o torimasu = Take the money
     Kirimasu = Cut / slice          
Kami o kirimasu = Paper cutting
     Kakemasu = Make           Denwa o kakemasu = Make a phone call
     Suimasu = Smoking           Tabako o suimasen = Not smoking
     Tsukaimasu = Use           ATM o tsukaimasu = Use ATM machine
     Dashimasu = Withdraw           ATM de okane o dashimasu = Withdraw money from ATM
     Okimasu = Wake up           Nemasu = Sleep
     Hatarakimasu = Work           Yasumimasu = Take a rest / break
     Okurimasu = Send / deliver           Labuleta o okurimasu = Sending a love letter
     Agemasu = Give           Purezento o agemasu = Giving a present
     Moraimasu = Receive from           Nengajyou o moraimasu = Receiving a NY card 
     Kashimasu = Borrow to lend  Kasa o kashimasu = Lend an umbrella
     Karimasu = Borrow from           Ichi-man-en okane o karimasu = Borrow 10,000yen
     Oshiemasu = Teach           Nihon-go o oshiemasu = Teaching Japanese language
     Naraimasu = Learn from           Ryori o naraimasu = Learn cooking

Itaria Ryori = Italian Cuisine


If you had notice, most verbs ended with '..masu'. How about those words without '...masu'?
It become 'o shimasu'. 
e.g : Syukudai o shimasu = Doing homework
        Dansu o shimasu = Dancing
        Tenisu o shimasu = Playing tennis
        Kaigi o shimasu = Having a meeting

Well, when asking they are using..
Nani o shimasu ka?          What are you doing?
